Sleeping with your hair wet gives you headaches!

Have you ever been told never to sleep with wet hair because it gives you a headache? Is it true or just old wives tale?Apparently this is how it happens, the water will enter your scalp therefore cause the headache, to cure it you have to steam your face.

Honestly your skin is waterproof and tough enough to protect someone from germs and dirt!there is no way it is going to get into your head!n steaming your face to rid the water?rubbish!this is another old wives tale!

I got this from Science World

I would like to ask whether sleeping with wet hair will cause headache and what is the reason.

It is possible that wet hair could cause a headache. Headaches can be caused by a number of factors: stress, caffeine withdrawal and fever are a few. Headaches are the result of pain receptor nerves sending a “pain” signal to the brain. Headaches are not a result of pain inside the brain (the brain has no pain receptors) but caused by nerve signals from the muscles of the head and neck or the meninges - the membranes that cover the spinal chord and brain.

If you have ever run on a cold wet day you will know that once muscles get cold they start to ache or even cramp. This can also happen with the muscles of your scalp and neck when covered with cold wet hair. The resultant pain signal your brain receives tells you that you have a headache

Well all i know for sure is sleeping with wet hair gives you bad hair day!Wat you think?old wives tale or truth?
