Everything you see in a mag, is usually loaned or they come from press kits*...today is I had a 1st hand experience at loaning things. I salute the fashion writers who does this EVERY MONTH most of the time a few days a week, unless i HAVE to loan I'm NEVER doing it again!!
A brief summary of how this works
1. Send loan forms to shops/clients a week before hand
2. Wait for approval/ Call and let them know when n what u need
3. Do more paper work
4. Off to loan
Oh btw you have to go a few Malls at once...not shops...Malls!!for example...be in 1U in the morning then by lunch FLY to midvalley, then Speed off to starhill then race back to the office before the jam starts in KL. oh oh and not forgetting you go to a few shops in EACH destination!!!so 1st u go to the 3rd floor bridge in 1U, then go to the old wing to collect more stuff then move on to the 2nd floor new wing pick up MORE stuff n carry all that to the Lower ground floor n collect some more stuff!!grab lunch then fly to Midvalley to collect only 1 item then speed of to starhill and collect 1 item. Oh Man I dunu how the fashion ppl do it!carrying around bags/shoes/tops/skirts/accessories n fly from 1U to Midvalley to KLCC to Starhill in a day!!then continue the next day if you still havent found that specific trend!!then once you're done shooting the products you have to
1. If the shop insist you dry clean then send it to the dry cleaners
2. Check and make sure ALL the loan items are accounted for..so u can imagine how it would feel if u discover the LV bags is missing
3. Return ALL the stuff you loan..thats right once again u make your way to 1U then fly to MV then speed off to starhill.
like i said i salute you fashion ppl for doing this every month!
